Flowmaster Outlaw Opinions
What's everybody think of the Flowmaster Outlaw dual cat-back exhaust setup for the '15 F-150 XLT.
I'd want to replace the black tips with polished SS tips though, to match the rest of my XLT package... it has a nice mean sound from the videos I saw... seems pricy, around $950 for the kit + 2 new tips (maybe if I buy it from a local shop, they'll just swap out the tips at no charge, and use the black tips somewhere else). But I know a good exhaust will cost about a grand.

Well I love the sound as I drive through town. I love the sound when I get up on the gas. I DONT like the sound/drone when I'm on the freeway around 60-70mph... it's a constant DRONE sound that really sucks. The first few days it was cool now I can't even hear music, or my passengers, or use my hands free phone. Even my passengers call was bad, his party couldn't hear him that well.
So yes, it's not for me. If I had 2 vehicles and the truck was my FUN weekend vehicle, sure i'd keep it. But since this is my daily driver, and I like to listen to music and need to use my hands free phone, it does not work for me.
I'll be looking into swapping the muffler out for the 50 Delta

Which one did you order? You'll like it just be prepared for the interior noise. It's loud. The amazon page said "moderate" but on the flowmaster page it says it's noisy inside.
I'm trying to decide between the 50 Series HD or the 50 Series Delta Flow

Update: Just ordered the 50 Series Delta Flow (Part #9430502). It's a 3" IN and 2x 2.5" OUT, which is what the existing muffler I have is setup for. So the shop should not have a tough time at all making the swap. They'll have to cut the old one off (they weld everything on) and possibly cut some of the pipes to allow this to FIT in (or just drop the brackets to pull the existing tubes out)... but that's what they do. They customize everything for their clients.
Reviews were outstanding on this one. People had the same problem I had, high drone at 2k RPM, they swapped this one in, and now they claim they get that throaty sound but don't hear it inside. So we'll see how it works.
I'll have it Friday, going to see if the shop can put it on Saturday. Will let you know how I make out.

July that's the Outlaw. THat is even LOUDER then the American Thunder... the American Thunder was loud (internal at 2k RPM, around 60mph) for me. Too much DRONE. The outlaw will be even louder, very aggressive from what I read. Be warned It'll sound badass but if you want a quite interior, you won't get it with American Thunder or Outlaw
