Default Fair price for leveling kit installation

Just trying to get an idea of what others have paid and what price range I should look at. I bought some 2" spacers and they're in the mail now. I am going to take it to a local, respectable, tire shop to have them put on since I'll need an alignment anyways.

I have a 2.5" ReadyLIFT kit that I over paid for. I suggest a AutoSpring kit in whatever size you decide.

I will be soon removing my ReadyLIFT and going with Fox 2.0 front and rear with 04-08 2" blocks.

I just got a Ready Life 2" level and a 3" block put in (as well as tires).

2" level - $230
3" block - $150
4 hours - $90 x 4 = $360

Total: $740 plus tax

...and then another ~$900 for tires, balance and install.

I'm happy.

I have the same setup as you (different brand) and here was my breakdown:

2" level - $85
3" block - $122 (I did this myself)
1 hour - $44

Total: $251

No WAY would I pay over $700 for a level. You got ripped off my friend. You could have gone with adjustable shocks and had a much better ride for that kind of money. But as long as your happy...

Autospringcorp.com

2" Front - $83
3" Rear - $123

$206 total plus labor.

As I said, I have a ReadyLIFT and it gets the job done. I can't tell you why I spend 3 times as much as the AutoSpring kit but I did, maybe I thought since it was more money it would be better. It's no better than the AS kit. In fact, I think the AS kit is better.

I am in Canada. Those are the american prices for the parts I got in Canadian dollars. They are the parts my off-road shop recommended. Yes I could have gone with some no name ebay parts and did it myself to save a few bucks but this truck will be with me a very long time, this truck will be used off-road and I'm not going to cheap out on parts. Solid strut spacers, not a pipe with two flanges. Cast rear blocks. Proper alignment.

Like I said. I'm happy. To each their own.

It's not the first time I would have spent more to get exactly what I want. I'm also 46 and semi-retired spending my kids' inheritance already.

I hope the ReadyLIFT kit you had installed doesn't have the studs with the allen head in the top of the studs. Cause they WILL break. I have installed 3 kits and all 3 kit broke studs. They have upgraded studs now, just hope you got a upgraded kit. The dozens of AutoSpring kits I have install I never had a issue with.

Either the shop that did it changed them or I have the upgraded hardware because there are no allen heads on the bolts.
