Okay, pulling the trigger on this. I've read so many horror stories I'm probably stupid to, but it's only $30. Hopefully the instructions here and elsewhere (e.g., don't turn the allen bolt, turn the nut toward the truck) will help...

Make sure you put the nutsert all the way to the bottom of the hole and you will likely turn the nut down a lot more than 11 or 12 turns, I didn't count how many turns I made I just cranked down on it until it felt like it might break and it's stayed in place for well over a year now, and use the thread lock that comes with it.

I put one in my '13 FX4 a couple months ago. Piece of cake, nutsert wasn't a problem. I love it, love it, love it. I seem to have an armful of stuff every time I go to open it.
Did I mention I love it? Should be a factory standard.
