Default Exhaust/Headers/Intake Question

Finally made an account here, but ill cut to the chase. My dad and I have a 2005 f150 with a bum engine were switching out for a new/refurbished 5.4 in a day or two. We want to go ahead and have the headers put on while the new engine is out of the truck so we can save the trouble but I'm no expert on brands and what I should be looking at. I plan on putting a CAI on at the same time as well as Magnaflow exhaust, which I haven't specifically picked out.

It'd be awesome if you guys could throw some brands/specifics out there and any knowledge and advice! From what I've read I want long tube headers rather than shorties

Thank ya

Picked out the exhaust, going with the magnaflow catback duals 16520. Would love some advice on if PaceSetter is the way to go with the long tube headers and how easy the installation between the headers to that exhaust system will go!

If I didn't live in cali I'd go with long tubes for sure, preferably ceramic coated. Don't have experience with any so can't recommend a brand. I'm just wondering if that much change to the breathing system will work without a tune. Awhile back I made a homemade intake that let in too much air, truck wouldn't run right.

Default Exhaust/Headers/Intake Question

You most definitely need a tune for long tube headers
