2011 XLT Super Crew 5.0 with an 18" Magnaflow/SIDO (Raptor style) setup.
Left on the resonator and you still know it is a V-8, when you step on it everyone knows it is a V-8. Still safe for multi-hour road trips.

Help
Hey guys. Need a hand here. I have a 14 f150 5.0. Roush cold air intake and just had a cat back SIDO added. Well I went to the muffler man in Brockton and they used a muffler that was a off brand but said they had better luck with it. So from the cat back its 2.25 now with a resornater and the muffler. I feel like I lost something here and also with the cold air intake there's just more vibration on the pedal when I get in her. What should I do here. I'm afraid to have the resornater taken off and be to much. I forgot to mention its a 50 style muffler instead of the 40 so it must be a flowmaster knock off. Let me know what you think

Only my opinion. 3" should have been maintained to the muffler, then the 2 1/4 dual out. IMO, it's choked down too much. Is it a FloPro muffler?
OOPS!! I meant 2 1/2" to the muffler, that's the stock size.
The CAI, I don't think has any bearing on the vibration. Aesthetics and sound is the only thing they're good for.
FWIW, my little Ranger with the 3.0 has 2 1/4" between the CATS and muffler, with no resonator.

where to start ?
Hey everyone just curious if anyone knows when doing my exhaust what size should I use. I have a 2013 f150 xlt. Also whats stalk size for exhaust mine I beleive is 2.5 but the headers up until the end of the cat look to be 3inch. Should I also replace my headers ? Or just go catback ? Will I also need a tune after this ? Thanks

1995 F-150 XLT EXT. cab, 5.0 302, stock headers and y-pipe, from there back is basically straight pipe with a magnaflow cat and a thrush welded muffler exiting out in front of the rear tire

Custom 3" Flowmaster Exhaust
2011 Ford F150 Ecoboost Lariat.
Got a custom Catback system done from a local guy i have used for the pat 10 years.
Had them put a Flowmaster Super 50 on it. As well as a Flowmaster 3.5" rolled tip (Picture below) Hopefully i can get a sound clip up here soon.
I called 3 different people at Flowmaster on which Muffler they would recommend for this truck. And all of them recommended the same one. Just because i've seen a bunch of posts on here that people have changed there muffler out and it ended up sounding like a Tuner car rather than a truck. So i'm defiantly glad that i called.
It sounds great, Not too loud (but you can tell its flowmaster), Sounds like a truck and there is pretty much Zero drone. And it makes the turbos sound awesome.

Magnaflow
I just wanted to add, if it's not already here, that today I installed the Magnaflow 3" catback on my 2010 5.4L SCREW. Just a heads up that when removing the stock exhaust there is a tab that holds the muffler to the cat extension pipe. The whole piece needs to be twisted 45 degrees counter clockwise to be removed.
It was too late for me so I ended up cutting the exhaust just before and just after the muffler for easy removal.
Also I love the Magnaflow, sounds great is a great addition to performance with the K&N intake.

now running an 18" magnaflow oval offset-offset muffler on the 04 4.6. sound has a better volume for a DD than the 14" round body I had on my 99 4.6, but the cost is the tone is disappointing by comparison.
