Exhaust
#792
my brother used to work there for a while. He now actually works for Roush. Dummy bought a Silverado, though.
I will be installing a Corsa dB performance on my 2009 XLT 4.6l. The youtube clips sound great so I'm excited to hear it when I'm done. Should be here tomorrow. I will post a video when I'm done.

I am starting this thread to get everyone who has one to post up their Exhaust preference and why. I will keep tabs on it and keep results in this post for quick reference. Give year and engine in your post. I am looking for personal expierence not what someone has heard about a certain Exhaust. Please keep your posts limited to Exhaust talk.

Went with a Roush side exit because it was stainless steel and only 599 on amazon. I thought it looked pretty nice...much more refined than the hearthrob I had on my previous f150.
As far as sound, well, everyone knows what an ecoboost with an exhaust sounds like. You either love it or don't understand why even do it in the first place. I'll just say I'm not going to bother taking a video of it because the sound is nothing exciting. My ecoboost simply has an audible exhaust note now.
All in all, I'm happy with it:
-I think it looks great,
-Doesn't sound "ricey" to me
-Nice to hear a decent rumble at start up.
-I definitely knew it was there just driving around town...and drone only became noticeable when I was gunning it. Other than that, at cruising speed it was only slightly "rumblier" than stock.
Anyway, no buyer's remorse here. Installation was a breeze. Here's some pics (in the last picture, I caught that the exit pipes weren't sitting straight so I went back and straightened it):

Flowmaster American Thunder 817417
Just installed the 817417 flowmaster american thunder kit on the 2007 SuperCrew. Easy install. No lift/jack stands needed. Instructions were precise and easy to follow. Took me 2 hours. Sounds awesome. Freeway speeds good too.

My current exhaust steep is a 2.5 inch H pipe trued dual exhaust with stock cats going into a single in/out flow master 10 series muffler with 4" tips. One of my buddies just straight piped/dumped his bronco. It sounds mean as hell and has that perfect exhaust noise that I love. Mine is a 5.4 and all these people say that you should never straight pipe and all this crap about how you'll regret it and loose a ton of low end torque. Realistically, what should I expect other than it sounding like a yacht. I'm not the most knowledgeable person on exhaust so excuse any of my dumb remarks I might have made. Anyways any help would be gladly appreciated because I would love for my truck to have this bad *** sound but would dread to loose all this so called "power". Thanks!
