I like Flowmaster. Tried Magnaflow and they look/sound good but also produce alot of resonance in the cab so went back to Flowmaster. Sound good with no resonance plus they started the company in Santa Rosa Ca where I grew up

if you use a muffler I'd go with true dual flowmaster or glasspacks

SI/DO 2.5" tailpipes from a Flowmaster 50 series delta flow muffler on my 5.4L 3valve 2007 F150. The kit came from truckexhaustkits.com. They had fast service and good prices. The kit fit up with minimal issues, and it took about 2.5 hours start to finish in the driveway.

The Flowmaster 50 series delta flow has a nice note, and is only slightly louder at cruising speeds, but lets itself be heard when you stomp on it.

Default Muffler Swap only or full Cat-back?

Alright, I am itching badly to start doing some mods to the newtruck and I plan to change out the exhaust first.

I am leaning towards Borla or Corsa and Magnaflow isn't out of the question. Oh wait, let me add headers to that equation that ARH just built for the 5.0 (little pricey though).

Anyway, I am looking for some opinions here. Minus the headers right now, should I just swap out my mufflers or go with a full cat-back system? My exhaust is three inches, and I thought I read something in one of the threads about running smaller pipes so that is why I am wondering what would be the best move to get the best performance.

So, opinions please...should I just swap out the mufflers or go with a complete cat-back system from whomever I decide to go with (Borla, Corsa, etc.)

Thanks guys!

Not to hijack the thread. I have ordered a 2012 with the eco-boost and have been shopping around for dual exhaust - rear exit. not a lot out there. Does anyone know if Roush is planning to design a system?

Is anyone running the flowmaster on their eco-boost?

thx
