Gibson Swept Side cat-back kit.. Sounds stock at idle, has a decent note at 3k rpms..

Probably going to get a custom exhaust made with Flowmaster muffler here soon. Want a louder sound.

Exhaust system is of of the most important part of your car, which should be designed and manufactured in the best way, so that you can find the best comfort.

Default Flowmaster Muffler

I called Flowmaster on Friday afternoon because I didn't see a cat back system for my 2009 F150 STX with a 4.6 2V. The technical sales rep told me a cat back system wouldn't benefit me as the pipes on the 09 Ford with a 4.6 engine are the correct size, and all I would need is a Flowmaster muffler to open the flow. He said if I had a 5.4 I would need a cat back for gains. I already have an Airaid CIA. Do I only need a high flow muffler? Would a cat back system be a waste of money as I would not benefit?
