I have an SCT Tuner with custom 91 eco and performance tunes to help out my CAI and glasspack on my '06 4.6. Question is, I was thinking of running true duals with MF or FL mufflers, will I need another custom tune or will I be fine?

Default Borla ATAK

2015 F150 XLT 5.0L
I got the Borla ATAK. Really easy to install and sounds great in my opinion.

So I have a 2009 Lariat with the 5.4. I am looking at maybe a flowmaster 40 to put on. I dont want anything fancy or to pricey. When installing these kits do they require welding?

Welding is recommended, but not required. Flowmaster systems come with all of the necessary parts and hardware for an easy bolt-on installation. If you are looking to simply swap out your muffler, unless you were purchasing a direct-fit unit, welding will be required. If you have any further questions, feel free to give us a call at 707-544-4761.

I have been reading through most of this thread and I am so confused. Now I can work on guns but not a mechanic in any way ( other than maintenance.).

Are these systems running off the factory manifold exhaust or are they putting headers on the motor? Would that make a difference if so with a tune or just a tune alone?

We tow a 16' box trailer full of ammo and guns to shows and wouldn't mind a boost in milage and or power. I don't want to get to much into a tune that may cook the motor but new exhaust may help. A little bit of rumble wouldn't hurt but don't want it really loud.

By the way, I have a 2011 screw with the v8.

Flowmaster Cat-back exhaust systems connect after the factory catalytic converters and replace your OEM exhaust system. Our systems do not replace your exhaust manifolds. Because you tow a 16' trailer and would prefer a quieter setup, we recommend one of our Force II Cat-back systems for your truck. Force II systems produce a moderate exterior tone while maintaining a mild interior sound level. Flowmaster produces both a single exit (Flowmaster Part #817509) and dual exit Force II system (Flowmaster Part #817478) for your F-150. If you have any additional questions, feel free to give us a call at 707-544-4761.

Other than noise, what can I expect performance wise? More HP or milage?
