Default Disconnecting the battery...Gotts Mod

Does anyone know if disconnecting the battery when doing the Gotts Mod messes with the Nav, phone pairing ect... does it all have to be reset?

It shouldnt. I unplugged mine for like 4 hrs when I did this mod, I was also installing an amp. When I finally connected it back up everything was still saved on headunit with the exception of the clock.

Clock will have to be reset and you might lose your station presets. Other than that nothing should be affected besides it might seem like its shifting weird for a bit while it relearns your driving style. Personally I don't remove the battery cable when just doing something like an intake, not like you are playing with any live wires. They just say to do it so you don't short something out it you eff up.

Jayson the reason they say to disconnect the battery is to reset what the computer knows about the air coming in. instead of giving it abnormal information, disconnecting the ground of the battery then reconnecting it allows it to start fresh on what it knows, and how to process it.
If you dont it will eventually adjust itself, but in wayy longer time.

Got it done. No problems, but will have to wait to see if there is a difference.

4 hrs? Do you have to do it for that long? I only left mine disconnected 20-30 min when I did it last week and haven't noticed any problems.

Gotts Mod complete, no real changes that I can tell. The jury is still out.
