Default Dented muffler

Hello all. Just purchased a Borla ATAK exhaust for my truck. When the installer mounted the muffler, we saw this dent. Online retailer credited me back some money so I kept it. I called Borla and they seem to think it will function perfectly. What do ya'll think? Btw, I only care about sound/performance, not looks.

Much appreciated my friend. I was having panic attacks worrying if I did right. Haha. It sounds awesome by the way

I wouldn't want a dented muffler. If a weld is loose or comes loose on the inside and the muffler started rattling that would be really annoying.

If visible from outside of truck and really bothers you the paintless dent guys do miracles. Their latest trick the last 6-7 years is to glue pins on to the dent if they can't get behind the dent and slide hammer the dents out and then work then smooth. Maybe an option? Dent guy might laugh at first but majority of people that get dings out of their cars care about how their vehicles look and dent repair guys stay in business because of this. Not sure if worth it but maybe an option to ask a couple of them.

Overall as long as nothing is loose inside, you would have heard it already, it will be fine, I am guessing a straight through type muffler and the dent will only be cosmetic, no impact on performance or longevity.

Thank you. I might look into that. Only reason I kept it is because you can't see it unless you climb under the truck and the online retailer credited me back 1/4 the price. I don't have anything to judge it against, but it sounds awesome.
