I have one on my truck does anyone know how to get it off?
It has ball connectors on both ends and they won't pop off..

Each ball connector has a metal clip that you need to pull off to then remove the shock from the ball. The ***** simply unbolt from the vehicle. You can see this with the instructions available on the Dee Zee website. http://www.deezee.com/Truck-Tailgate-Assist/p32813
