Default MBRP exhaust

Anyone here have any experiance with this exhaust on their f150. I had it on my last truck (Dodge Dakota 4.7) and it had a great low rumble to it. Mellow in the cab and grumpy outside. I would think it should sound even better with a 5.4 .

Aloha,
Jimbo

I have yet to see one on these 5.4s

Of course the diesel guys run them and love 'em to death.

They make a dual cat back for the f150 4.6/5.4 but at $730 + shipping to Hawaii it's a bit pricey. I called the company to see if they sold just the muffler for that set up (it's a single in, dual out ) separate, then I could have the pipse made here, but of course they don't, only as a system. They only sell the single in/out muffler separate. So I was hoping someone here could give me a good reason to separate me from $800 for an exhaust system. I had the pipes made for the Dakota with the single in/out but I figured the dual out would be better for the bigger motor. What do you guys think?

why not get the single, then split up the pipes into split tailpipes?

Just get a Y-pipe after the muffler and you can have two tips coming out the back.

Although I don't see what's soo special about that muffler.

I'm not saying there is anything special about the muffler, I'm just saying it sounded really good and performed pretty well also and the whole system is stainless steal, thats all and asked if any one had any experince with it. I was considering doing the Y on the single out but was just curious if the dual out might have better flow to it for our motors since it was made with a specific system for our trucks. Thanks for your input.

Aloha,
Jimbo

I dont think you will get the noise from your ford vs the dodge you had. I am sure some people here will not agree with that, just listen to a dodge then fords. i have had several fords which do not put alot of noise out unless you do away with cats etc. i am not a dodge fan but they do have a hell of a rumble . my brother has a dodge with cat back system as i do on my ford same mufflers, his truck is much louder. i will not go on but you will have different tone with fords. good luck
