AFE Three inch with dry filter. Most certainly added throttle response and air flow. does any one about what "recharge" filters are? i heard you can clean the filter out and spray something on the filter to recharge it...are those oil based filters?

I know AFE has a dry and an oil based. I just bought the oil based for my Charger and now I want to get one for my F150. I can't imagine that the dry filter would need any "re-charging".

I'm very happy with the one I just put on my Charger.

I have the K&N intake. I love it!

I didnt go with the chrome 77 series, because i heard it heats up. Doesnt give you the max HP as the other K&N. It looks good though.

I just put an S&B cold air intake on my 02 f-150 and I love it so far. It made the throttle response a lot quicker, and it also made the exhaust sound deeper. You can actually hear it sucking air real hard when you get on it.

i did the gotts mod and not sure if i liked it or not. seemed to loose power on the low end. Gas mileage decreased also. anyone else ever noticed this?

I may try it again and take battery cable off to reset computer and do it just before going on a long trip as i travel for work and see how it does on open highway.

AF1 3" CAI in all honesty went with because of all the recommendations of people in this forum and so far it has performed as good as they said.I have noticed a definite improvement in throttle response as for as mpg's maybe 1/2 to 1 mpg improvement but thats not the reason I did it.

K&N FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit)

http://www.autoanything.com/air-inta...0A2606351.aspx

Says +10 Horse Power, don't have a Dyno or anything, but you can really feel the difference when you drop it on a hard acceleration. Sounds great to.
