Hi guys, new to the forum so sorry if this has been asked before. I'm ready to pull the trigger on getting a tuner. Still not sure which one, but I'm pretty sure I want to go with one that can allow me to return the truck to stock tune for the purposes of taking the truck back to the dealer for service. With that having been said, do I need to worry about the truck not passing smog here in Cali with a tune programmed in or even if I'm able to remove the tune for inspection purposes ? Thank you for the help.

I'm pretty sure you can just return back to stock with the programmer. I have SCT tuner and whenever I go to the dealer I just return it to stock without a problem.

No need to worry . The last time I got a smog check I even forgot to removed my tuner and still pass , I don't know how it did but the result was a boarder line . According to the paper work.

I run the 5* tunes and simply suck the program back into my cell phone via blue tooth when it is not needed.
