Default Boss302 manifold questions

Has anyone installed the Boss302 on a 2014 F150 yet. wanted to find out if there were any issues and how it preformed on the truck. (I have a super crew with the 5.0L XLT, Flowmaster dual pipes, and K&N dryair kits)

Looks like the only issue seems to be you have to lengthen the longer of the two coolant hoses on the passenger side firewall, so it can reach around the manifold instead of over.

I have it installed. Install was easy took about 3 hours. I did have to lengthen the coolant hoses. Not a big deal. The purge valve does not fit in the intake so I just zip tied it behind the throttle body. No big deal. It didn't change too much low end. But as soon as the truck gets to 3000rpm and above. WOW. That's all I have to say. But it does sound awesome. I get serious compliments on how it sounds.

Default Boss302 manifold questions

I have it as well but on a 2013 5.0 STX and I'm very happy with it contrary to most people I didn't feel the loss in the lower RPM's associated with the build, but could definitely feel a difference up high. Yes this could also be from the tune that is required for it, but even so I won't ever look back. I have a few issues with my truck stalling after the installation (which does not take long at all & and just about anyone with a little common sense can do). I came to find out it was the tune I was running on it, but once I changed providers and got a new tune from MPT (93 race) I'm at 6,000 miles of smiles!! I also got an increase in MPG by around 1.2-1.4 and that's running on 33 inch trail grapplers and 3.55 gears.

Great pics. I probably wont get to the build until next week or so. two questions did you need to get the the fuel line extension from Ford or di dyou just use the parts in the kit from 5Star? Also did you have to cut out a section of the firewall so the Boss would fit? The instructions don't really help and most pics don't show that part of the installation. The instructions from both Ford racing and 5Star leave a lot t othe imagination!

A fuel line extension no, but you do need the coolant line extension in order to make it around the intake.
As for the fire wall no I didn't if you go on to YouTube and look up boss 302 install for f-150 you should see video that pops up from stage 3 motor sports that helped me a bit, however It leaves some stuff out as well. to answer your question from what I did is I beat down the 3 slots behind the firewall to make a little more room.

While you're doing the install if you have any questions feel free to get ahold of me and I'll help you through it because I know the instructions aren't much help.
