adding shelby mustang mufflers on 02 f150
Today on my garbage route i came upon a big box.
when i opened it, lo an behold, it was the left and right stock mufflers with tips (ford p/n F1-8143-r and l)for a 07-09 Shelby gt500.
was thinking of installing on my 02 f150 with the 5.4. was thinking of doing a single 3" from the cat til just before the axle then splitting off into a dual 2.5. and the mufflers would be to the left and right of the spare tire. can anyone think of any issues that would creep up? and is it worth the effort of changing it. (the mufflers do fit)

It's going to be a lot of custom fab work to get them to mount correctly and get the routing done correctly.
If you think you have a muffler shop that could do the work, then by all means go for it.
Seems like a big risk though since you have no idea how it will sound.
I'd throw em up on ebay or on some mustang forums and use the cash for a F150 designed exhaust.

threw 50 bucks at my local installer(mikes muffler in crookston,mn) and he took off the chrome tip off one of the mufflers and rewelded it onto the stock rear pipe, then replaced the stock muffler with the shelby muffler he took the tip off of. now i have that mustang rumble on my 5.4...its sound is between a flowmaster 40 and 50. no need to go with wasteful duals.
