Default Best Cold Air Intake?

hey i have a 2002 f150 4.6L and im in a battle on which cold air intake system to buy. i like KnN with the open filter but i am also debaiting Tru-Flo sealed box system. seems like the sealed system would block some airflow but the open filter might get too dirty? any suggestions

the new AEM brute fource intaks are a dry air filter, which means that it isnt oiled, so it wont gum up as much as a oiled system, and it is still a open filter system

I really like the looks of this one... its made by JLT performance but i believe that i would change the airfilter to a trueflow b/c of a video, that i cant seem to find anywhere, that shows how it stops all dirt from entering the motor will others like K&N allow alot of dirt to pass through the filter

the pricey systems are expensive because they have lots of money in R&D on each product for every application, the 50 dollar e-bay ones are the same for a honda civic and a hemi.

the e-bay intakes also dont came with any heat shields, and poor/no instructions, and most importantally, no company that will stand behid its product.

you get what you pay for, so why try to save 200 dollars and put your 5000 dollar motor at risk?

We sell alot of the AEM and Volant intakes for the F150s. One of the reasons these are more is the R&D. It takes some time to develope a good intake that wont throw codes. Unless you had a forced induction system like a diesel, you could run into problems with a cheap system. I would never tell you NOT to try the cheap ones, but to ruin a 40k dollar truck while saving 150 to 200 bucks sounds kinda crazy. Then again I'm bias lol.
