I was thinking of building one of my own, I have on every other truck I have ever owned but this one is reasonably priced (I'll see what shipping will be to Canada) and it looks like a good one. Anyone use this? If not, and you bought one, what is it and do you like it?

Have the full front skid plate from RCI. Love it.

Thanks. I'm going to go with that one. I have lost a couple of belts due to shmutz getting up there....a stick once and some gravel twice. Also my h pipe is starting to look hurting...

The stock FX4 skid plates don't cover the h-pipe, or the belt or the bottom of the rad etc. They are also made of very thin metal.

any other opinions on these plates?

also, is the OEM plastic skid for the 36 gallon tank still the best option? My xlt 4x4 didn't come with skids, so before I do much exploring the desert the next step is to armor the underside...

thanks!

I love the RCI skidplates too! I have a full front set on my truck and they took less that 15 minutes to install. I used a jackstand to support the middle of the plate and just screwed the bolts in by hand!
