Default The BEST aftermarket intake for the 5.0!!!

Alrighty guys since I'm waiting for my 3/5 drop kit I was thinking about a aftermarket intake but I want the one that has the best performance increase, throttle response and sound. I don't know if Roush or the boss 302 or air raid or a K&N. What do yall think and it's for a 2012 F150 5.0

IMO It wont do anything at all except look cool and sound nice if you get a loud one. Injen makes some noise...but if you do a muffler delete your not going to hear it much anyway. If your looking for performance id spend that money on a Tune & a Pro Charger someday 😜

I always thought that a aftermarket market intake would help for a faster throttle response?

The only thing that will give you better response is a programer...Tune
Unless of course you spend $5500 on a Super Charger. Haha
I did the Gotts mod, but really it hasnt proven to have done a thing really. Google it and save $350 on a intake.

Intake will only make noise not increase power. I kept my stock airbox and stock air filter and replaced the tube between the airbox and TB. Just to clean things up a bit.

i bought/installed an ebay intake on my 5.0, for about $110 and 10 minutes worth of work it isnt too bad. sounds stock at idle and normal driving, but when you get on it, she sounds deep and throaty.

it reused the bottom half of the stock intake box and replaces the upper half with a metal box that seals against the hood, as well as a decent sized tube.

Awwww well I had a idea the put a roush intake because I wanted to increase performance but I always thought it helps the 5.0 breathe better which gives it a better throttle response. I mean for sound I was going to delete the resonator and muffler and put a flow master 10 series.

If you decided to get a CAI, upgrading your exhaust also can help you gain some hp.

No, No it won't. The stock exhaust is already freeflowing, especially on a NA 5.0 engine.
