AVS Aeroskin blew off
Had the Aeroskin put on about 6 months ago at a local accessories shop, coming home yesterday on I95 I noticed the left side come loose. Before I could get slowed down it snapped in half and I am sure scared the heck out of the drivers behind me.
I loved the way it looked but may go a different route with the next one.

That's crazy, hope it didn't scratch or ding your truck flying off! I just installed one yesterday and was impressed at how well "stuck" it seemed to be, I can't imagine it ever coming off. I made sure to wash that part of the truck first and then use the alcohol swabs included though..

Felt pretty good about the install as they are well known and have done other work for me. But something failed.
Didnt hurt the truck and no one behind me so for that I am grateful.

Mine flew off my 11 after a year as well. I had the whole matte black set with the window visors as well so getting it back would be pricey because u can't buy the matte black one separate. The wind gets up under it and beats on the tape until it fails. My was installed properly on a clean/wax free hood. I even used 3m adhesive promoter. I went and picked up an OEM bug shield instead.

I have one for my 15 I'll be installing in the next week or so. Are there any extra suggestions for surface preparation before installation? I'm used to working on unpainted aircraft, Andrade primered surface, clean with acetone/MPK, install within 1 hour.
Don't want to abrade the paint on my hood, lol.
