Default Any issue leaving HitchScan plugged in all the time?

I just purchased a HitchScan from Amazon. I hooked it up tonight and it seems to get the job done.

One question - you are supposed to plug the receiver into one of the 12V ports in the cab. This works, but it appears that these ports are not switched.

I can't imagine this thing is sucking too much power, but any thoughts if it would cause battery drain if I just leave it plugged in all of the time?

Anyone else have a HitchScan? If so, what do you do about this?

Thanks in advance for your input,

-Tim

I currently have a hitch scan, I've had it since i bought my truck about 2.5 years ago.. I leave it plugged it all the time.. Power consumption is very low, haven't had a problem..

Thanks Big-E

The past two weeks of my experience has agreed with you.

This seems to be a pretty good product.
