AMP Step Question
A guy here in Florida is selling his AMP steps off his fx4. It's a crew cab and I own a king ranch which is a super crew. I also have the standard bed. I'm not sure if the steps would look right on my truck with that extra cab space and a full foot of bed before the wheel well.
So question 1 is would it look stupid to have steps that may be shorter than my cab?
Question 2 is how much do they cost to install?
He's selling them for 750 and they come with the LED kit so I'm not sure if the deal is worth it or if I should just walk away.

IMO.. they would look stupid. and then you will most likely pay a few hours labor for the install.. 3 X $120 or whatever the going labor rate is by you.

If you're talking about the power steps, they should be the same part number regardless of the bed size. The side steps only span the length of the cab and they should be trim to fit if you have a shorter cab.
$750 is cheap if they are brand new. If they are the plug and play kit the install should only take about 2-3 hours, if its the hardwire kit it will take longer.

Yea it seems like the guy had them for a regular cab. Mine is a super crew and they aren't plug and play so I decided to say no to them. I'd rather get the ones that fit the cab for 1100 on Amazon. Thanks for all the help everyone!

You can't go wrong. I put them on mine and they are awesome. Took under 3 hours from start to finish. That includes taking the **** ones (sorry, stock ones) off and installing the power steps. The pnp is absolutely the way to go too. Great quality and easy install.
