I was talking to a friend of mine about some possible mods for my truck (2005 Ford F150 STX 2x4 4.6L V8). When I bought the truck it had Flow Master exhaust, aluminum A arms and an oil cooler. My original thought was to swap the stock cam shaft for something that would give my truck a little more power. This then led to intake manifolds and chips. I then got this great idea, "lets put a gt500's intake manifold on MY truck". I am kind of new to this and don't know if that's even remotely possible. So, is it possible to put a gt500 part(s) on a 4.6 F150? If not, any suggestions for aftermarket parts to increase performance?

In short: is it possible to put a GT500's intake manifold in a 4.6 v8? Also, suggestions for other possible mods for performance?
