Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3 or Wrangler Duratrac???
We'll as bad as I wanted to put on toyo or nitto MT's I just can't bring myself to do that putting 40k miles a year on my truck. So I think I am going to go with a very aggressive all terrain for more of a MT mean look. I am considering Baja ATZ P3 or Wrangler Duratrac but I just can't decide which I like better so I am hoping some of yal can tell me your experience with them? As far as how we'll they preform off road and about how many miles to expect to get from them. Would love some pics of some on a 20" rim!!!! Thanks guys!

Well, I had the Nitto Trails on a couple of vehicles, and while I loved the looks (I really think they are one of the best looking tires out there), I hated the heaviness and increased road noise as they wore down.
I think both the Duratracs and ATZs look and perform well. I currently have the Duratracs and absolutely love them. After 11K miles, they still look great with no noticeable wear (I do rotate them regularly). The tires are very aggressive looking for an AT (almost MT looking) but very quiet and handle great. The only negative I can think of is that they do have a thinner sidewall than most off-road tires you might consider so will need to be careful if trailing. Also, the taller versions probably don't handle as well with more sidewall flex.
I am wanting to go with a slightly taller tire with maybe more off-road bias to complete my build, so I am actually thinking about the Mickey Thompson ATZ P3s too as I think they are also a very aggressive good-looking AT and they have the size I want (the Duratracs are pretty limited), but with all the benefits of increased traction and handling over the MTs.

I have the original ATZs. 35x12.5R18. Had them for almost 30k. Still plenty of meat left on em. Very impressive traction in dirt, snow, mud, and even wet roads. They definitely produce some road noise (which I happen to really love), but not as bad as an MT. I like how they are more aggressive than a typical AT and less than a MT... especially for a daily driver.

I just put Duratracs on my truck and love them... I've been waiting for my stock tires to wear out before putting them on. I had 33 12.5 15 Duratracs on my old Jeep Wrangler and was really impressed with how it performed on the trail. I would air them way down and almost always would get through mud/sand/rock/snow that other guys with similarly built jeeps had trouble. They aren't terribly loud on my truck as a daily driver.

I'll need tires again eventually. I like what I hear about the Duratracs. Can anyone attest how they do on wet roads? That's important as far as I'm concerned. I've had expensive tires not hook up in the rain, and it's a pain in the ***. BF all terrains specifically.
