Was this test done with a bone stock truck with no other mods or was there an intake and/or exhaust used on the truck as well? I doubt an exhaust would do much of anything, but I could see an intake increasing the numbers 5-10 horsepower if it's a really good flowing intake setup.

Yes, definately need to know this? If it had exhaust and CAI please disclose which one.

If stock need to see same test with after market exhaust and CAI with manufacturer named.

I've been waiting to do all 3 and only want to do it once and forget it.

Driving the EB with a stock exhaust has been killing me.....

All these tuning companies do their testing on a factory vehicle. They build their tunes around a stock truck and build in various parameters to account for other aftermarket stuff later. With the factory wideband O2's on these trucks, they can automatically account and adjust for aftermarket modifications themselves.

You are dreaming if you think they are going to do more tests with aftermarket parts installed on it. The results are far too subjective and will not be the same for every truck. No tuner does this and unless a retailer decides to do it, you won't see anything like that.

I've got an Injen intake on mine and am looking into exhaust but unsure what to get so I was thinking of a custom setup, but really wanting to do a tune afterwards. I think i'll wait a bit till this is out a bit more, kinda like the bullydog, it needed to be more refined and i'm not sure about buying a tuner immediately after it's released

I am coming from the diesel tuning world. The 6.4L Power Stroke tuning world to be more specific. Most large tunes (200+ HP) must be tested with aftermarket intakes because of the poor air flow of the factory setup. I didn't know at what point the factory air box becomes restrictive on the EcoBoost. Restriction in the air flow department pre-turbo isn't typically good for the life of turbo's.

That was the main point of my post. I didn't know if an aftermarket air intake was used or not, and if it was needed due to restriction. If there is no restriction in the stock setup, they wouldn't have needed to go to an aftermarket setup for testing.
