Default 2014 Weathertech Window Deflectors

Anyone installed these? Saw a video that the
weatherstripping has to be removed and a piece
removed. True or False?
Any advise appreciated.
Had Weathertech in the past and liked them.

I have the weathertech window deflectors on 3 of my cars. No adhesive and 5 minute install. Great product!

if yur talking about the in-channel ones good luck with that. i could never get the auto down safety feature to quit working every time the windows got rolled up, and they were scratching my windows, so i took em off.
