1st mod... k&n cai
Completed my first mod to my truck that I bought used back in October. Truck is a 2010 xlt screw 4x4 and decided my first mod would be a k&n cai. So far I love the sound it adds and can definitely feel a gain in power and throttle response. Been lurking on the forums for awhile so I figured my first mod would be a good time to start posting. Great job, looks just like mine. Be sure to check the clamps now and then, with the heating/cooling of the engine, mine got loose within the first month, now that I have tightened them, they have stayed snug. Now that you have more air coming in, you can better equalize your system but adding a stainless steel catback duel exhaust with full bore muffler. Had mine installed for $500, they custom bent it for the truck. Sounds great, better fuel economy if I keep my foot out of it.

Not calling you out of anything but I definitely know the feeling of adding a new part to a truck or whatever and think it's giving more than it actually is.
If the increase is in between 1-3 MPG, depending on year of truck/driving habits, it pays for itself pretty quick.

I appreciate the skepticism, but after installing my K&N cai, the exhaust, and installed the champion performance spark plugs (which is the fix to the 2 piece), I am getting a few more miles to the gallon. Also, for an unknown reason to me, when I use BP gas over GetGo or Sheetz, I notice a considerable change in gas mileage. Just keep track and do the math, better numbers are better numbers...
