Raptor Minion
It still wouldn't be a Raptor.
You are better off selling it on your own and then finding a better deal on a Raptor. Under MSRP can be had, but you may need to go out of state. But think of the cool drive back home!
If not, you'll need to let it go and learn to live your FX4. Nothing wrong with it. Very nice truck. But don't spend money trying to make it into a a Raptor. Make it into an even nicer FX4.
I'm sure that nagging feeling might go away. Eventually. Or not. And if not, plan A!

I had looked for and then bought my white classic decalled 2011 Raptor a year ago this month. The problem that I had was no one had them in any color in south Florida.
The dealers would immediately sell out the one or two they ordered for the year as soon as they got them.
Last year, I had found a used white 2011 Raptor with the options and body decal on the enterprise rental used truck web site. The price was $5k below blue book however you had to pay a non refundable fee to have vehicle transferred from Colorado to Florida. I think the fee was $3000. I was seriously considering. The transmission had just locked up on my 2005 Ford F150 V8 XLT.
My wife surprised me by finding the exact truck in Florida at a ford dealer 50 miles north. It had just came in for resale. It had been part of a corporate vehicle fleet. (Wish I worked for that company)
I was able to see it and drive it. There were a few other people looking at it. This Ford dealer had a no haggling policy. Was not going to loose the truck by hesitating so told salesman I was buying it before we got out of the truck.
In the past year, I have seen a noticeable increase in the number of Raptor on the road in south Florida and on dealer lots.
I suggest looking at rental companies used vehicle sells.

Lonestar state of mind
I doubt I'll do anything at this point with no Raptor for 2015 and if I did I would sell my truck myself. I just couldn't believe this cat had the wavo's to tell me he was going to mark it up 10k right out of the gate... lol I feel bad I didn't buy a Raptor to begin with... Im not an idiot lol

I have a 2013 FX4 SuperCrew with EVERY option you can get. It has a EcoBoost in it..... Shortly after buying it last Sept I was on the FORD site a "built" a Raptor and realized that for not a whole lot more I could have.... should have bought a Raptor. The thought has been haunting me ever since.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the truck I have. ITS AWSOME. Currently it only has 5000 miles on it and it seems like the mileage gets better and better... which really isnt that super important to me. My point is I have no complaints whatsoever about my FX4 BUT EVERYTIME I see or even think about a Raptor I feel like I messed up. The Raptor is just simply... more me.
All that aside.. Went to a dealer and he shot me a price of 60K without asking anything other than if I wanted a Crew again..and he told me that MOST dealers are marking up the Raptor 10K so I would be looking in the neighborhood of $70K and to add insult to injury he told me IF I wanted to trade my FX4 in he would give me $29K for it! Its got 5000 miles on it! I said it stickered for 50 so I'm sure you would love to give me 29. Run it thru the washbay put it on the lot and short sale it for 38 or 39 within a week... sounds like a sweet deal on his end. I wouldn't dream of trading it in... I didn't even suggest it but his eyes got big as apples at the thought of it.
Sorry.... just venting................ Im done... I messed up. I shoulda bought a Raptor to begin with uhhhhhhg! lol

If buying new, don't pay a dime over sticker. When I was shopping, I found ones on lots that were as much as $10,000 over sticker. I don't pay over sticker for anything.
I ordered mine new. Paid $1000 UNDER sticker for it. I ordered it exactly how I wanted it. It took almost exactly two months to build.
I shopped two dealers. One gave me $1000 off sticker, fair trade value on my Silverado, and was honest about how long it would take to build. Told me to just let him know when I was ready to order and he would get it started on. I had an upfront, direct, and honest salesman.
The other offered me $2500 off sticker, bent me over with my trade, said they could have it in 4-5 weeks, and told me I had to order it that day to get in on their allocation. Typical sleezeball salesman with a huge fake smile acting like he's been your best friend all your life and now is doing you a favor.
A few months ago, I bought my wife a new Explorer Sport and went right back to the same salesman that I got my Raptor from.
