I wish. Dave has a couple more things to finish up, then re-assembly and paint.

I get that you broke your truck so you decided to mod....but why start with a Raptor in the first place, if someone was planning these types of mods wouldn't it make allot more $$ sense to use a regular F-150?

I just really liked the Raptor when it was released. I grew up out west and I spent a lot of time playing in the desert on the weekends so it struck a chord with me.

I could have done it much cheaper had I bought say an Ecoboost FX4 and gone full LT but this is the path I took. I can recoup some $ by selling all the factory Raptor stuff but I'm probably still looking at a 15k delta. Oh well...

doesnt the raptor have a lot more to offer stock than a regular f150(obviously suspension)? but like all the offroad modes and stuff like that?
i have to say that when i build my full prerunner all out build, im going to go with a lighter rig to start out with. these trucks are damn heavy!

In 2010, almost everything was unique:

Electric locking rear (able to keep engaged to 100mph)

Off Road Mode - changes shift points to hold gears longer, uses ABS and pitch/yaw sensors to help prevent over driving the truck at high speed, de-sensitizes the air bags so they don't blow up in your face on hard hits, de-sensitizes throttle so it doesn't modulate when you foot is bouncing around on rough terrain....

Hill Descent Control

Suspension, tie rods, longer front and rear axles

Factory trans cooler

Unique interior

Unique fenders/bedsides

The Raptor is a great starting point but you could build a capable truck for less money. The suspension upgrades are pricey regardless of what you start with - the cost is the same.

No new pics but I spoke to Dave, the truck will be ready for paint by Friday. We also are going to go ahead and put the 37's on it.
