Just telling you what I know bud. I've had a a Raptor since they came out, they do not come with alignment cams.

As you can see, no cams - they look like large washers and are easy to spot. I had them installed on mine when I went to mid perch.

My opinion, the dealer is installing cams because they can't get it to align properly without them.

I'm really not sure what the major issue is here. Is this Raptor a lemon? You traded your truck in for a 1 yr older, far superior truck that is now almost 3 years old. I suspect there will be a few issues.

Let's break it down....Who would ever own a Raptor for 2 years.....,,, I will tell you. It's someone who doesn't give a ****. They probably beat on it a little, but I'm sure the damage is limited to replaceable parts.

The good part is, it still has plenty of warranty left on it, especially because you basically just drove out of the dealership. So stay on them until all is fixed and corrected. It's a PITA, but if you wanted new, you should have bought new.

Back on track here the alignment cams don't have anything to do with the issues I'm having thanks for your input though . They replaced them under warranty along with a bunch of parts the truck has not a single rock chip in the under carriage or control arms or body I'm a ticketed body man /painter so I obviously looked over this many times the trucks appears to of never even seen a gravel road which is why bought the dealer and ford believe it to be the fox shocks and are currently trying to get a new set because they agree even though their is a tsb on them for noise that this beyond normal

Not all but most do, yes. Some guys don't need them until top perch but mine wouldn't go to factory spec without them - more specifically it wouldn't hold spec without them.

I wasnt wanting "new" this year however 16k miles isnt exactly the end of the road for a truck. Ive had new in fact for the first time in my life ive bought a used vehicle i buy a new ford truck every fall for the last 7 years however that being said this year i figured i would give a used raptor a shot only has 16000 miles which is less than half of what i normally put on a vehicle in a year i would expect better out of truck especially for it to be at the dealership for 8 weeks unsolved and throwing part after part at it trying to solve the issue, they are wasting fords money and my time.

It might be too late but if this is all warranty work then you might be better off bringing your raptor to a different dealer who know this truck better. I agree, 2 months at a dealer's shop is absolutely ridiculous and I would demand better.

For the 'clunk' issue you should give KHC a call in NJ and ask for Dave. He fixes that issue almost weekly - premature wear on the lower coilover bushing is the typical culprit IIRC.

I only pointed out the cams because you said the tie rods felt worn out. The lower arms shifting in their mounts give a similar feel. Cams prevent this but only if torqued at the proper spec - it's interesting they are covering them under warranty - given that they aren't a factory part. I'd be keeping an eye on that dealer...

thank you for information yea i was surprised too however they sold me the vehicle with those on them which is good news for me because at this point whether it was under warranty or not they want to make it right! I stop by daily as their are next to my bodyshop! thanks ill give them a call!
