Start/Stop technology?

Have you read your m-a-n-u-a-l? It is in there. Also in numerous threads.
Boggles the mind how many people don't read the manual on a $50,000+ vehicle.
Disabling Auto StartStop
Press the Auto StartStop button located on the center console to switch the system off. The button will illuminate. This will only deactivate the system for the current ignition cycle. Press the button again to restore Auto StartStop function.
Note: If the Shift to P, Restart Engine message appears and the amber Auto StartStop indicator light is flashing, automatic restart is not available. You must restart the vehicle manually. See Information Displays (page 105).
If your vehicle is in an engine off Auto StartStop state and you change the transmission to reverse (R) while the brake pedal is not pressed, the message Auto StartStop Press Brake to Start Engine will appear. You must press the brake pedal within 10 seconds or a shift to park (P) and a manual restart will be required.

given that it's posted in the Raptor forum, i dont think reading is the OP's strong suit
even if it does come on the new Raptor, it will be defeating-able

Jeezus, people. You do realize that in your haste to sound superior, you both just promptly made yourselves look like morons.

Start/stop was just announced for the new raptor, so it's relevant.
Also, 'defeating-able'?

It's clear that the OP doesn't currently own a truck with start/stop, so it wouldn't really be possible for him to read the m-a-n-u-a-l. Perhaps you could take time to read the guy's p-o-s-t.

Exactly leikos, I just read a recent article saying is was going to be standard on the 2017 lineup, including the Raptor. @Rick, I don't own the truck yet, so I'm not sure how to get my hands on the manual, but thanks for posting that tutorial, seems like a huge PIA. Am I reading the correctly, you need to shut it off every time you start the car? And don't be such an asshat.

Defeating-able was obviously a joke...
since every thread regarding the auto-SS so far says that it is defeatable (happy? is that even a word?), and how to do it, we have every right to inject some sarcasm in this thread

I will probably trade my '15 Lariat for a new Raptor and look forward to having the start/stop feature. My 3.5EB truck does not have it.

I'm looking forward to it, especially given where I live can mean being stuck stopped when I have to drive into goddamn Seattle.

Each ignition cycle is the key. So every time you start the truck you will have to navigate through the menu to disable it if you choose. The only other way is to buy a tuner

Oh yeah, stay away from downtown Seattle, or Bellevue, or Renton. West Seattle too. Kirkland as well. Okay, all of South King County.
