I was concerned about the longevity of the electric steering rack with bigger tires and rims.
That stage 5 ICON suspension I put on I now realize is crap. ICON failed to mention their suspension would not work with factory spec'ed rims and tires(rubbed on remote res).
They failed to mention that their neoprene protective sleeves would rub on the axle boots.
No matter how soft you set the suspension it rode to hard. I think if I had a heavier engine 6.2L maybe it might have made a difference.
The damn suspension squeaked something fierce. Started with the rear shocks like if you hop on the bed. Then when I was using the running board to get in one day I noticed the front squeaking. Done...
end rant about ICON.

So I had concerns about my 2013's repair bill after warranty since I was having major issues early so I bailed. I didnt go upside down so that made it even better.
man, when saw your post my first thought was the stage 5 kit. my replacement front shocks come in today...not even in the mood to test them out at this point though i still probably will just b/c.

in reality with the money i have put up in upgrades i probably could've just put it towards the raptor in the first place...oh well, lesson learned i guess.

i definitely have the squeaking going on...i actually tightened down a few bolts again and it seemed to go away for a short time....the rears i actually find the ride quite comfortable...the fronts right now, not so much...the kit is likely just not for me...my plan is to go completely back to stock this weekend, with the exception of a few small items. at this point it looks like i will be trading up soon...just need to justify it to the wife and have a quick fire sale we'll see though...

danno, it's ridiculous around here...average markup is 5k...had one dealer literally tell me right after we had just configured one for around 56 k that it would be 63 plus tax title, fees etc. that it's a markup on the raptor they HAVE to put on...i walked out...salesman proceeded to follow me to my truck and said if we got the deal done then and there, he could do msrp...told him what i thought of his sales tactic in the most mild mannered jersey way i could...

anyone know of a dealer in NJ / NY / PA that could get me a decent deal on one without selling a kidney or my first born?

Most lot raptors are going for MSRP or higher. To get a deal you typically have to order one and wait and wait. I waited over 4 months but got mine about $5k OFF sticker or $50 over invoice plus admin fee of $249. Dealer allocations are drying up and it might be difficult to find one that will be able to get one for you at a discount. Now that I have a Raptor and took it off-road and enjoying the raptor community, I would pay MSRP for one of these all day long. It really is great to have one. I just can't stop with the mods, over $8k so far...

I will PM you where you might find some dealers but a lot of folks will order out of state and fly to pick it up and drive home. I bought mine out of state.

That is about the way it is down here in Florida. All I can tell you is find the best deal and bite the bullet. That is what I did. I had the choice of a SE Ruby Red or the same equipped truck in Oxford white, full graphics pkg. All the same features as the SE. I just liked the white more. The SE was a little more but not a deal breaker, just my preference on color.
RDFTS what all have you added to yours? I ask because I have added a CAI and was curious if you did and had to have it retuned. I plan on a dual cat back magnaflow and a Bully Dog tune after. Maybe a 5 Star, haven't decided.

The big ticket items are the RPG Stage 2, RPG PS w/cooler, TMX lights, Skid, Bed cage, Nav-TV, Roll-X, Off-road stuff. Looking at getting a tuner for the June event in Michigan on a timed track.

that's a hell of a deal you got in my eyes...especially around here where they basically try to make you squeal like a pig to get into a raptor.

but...i just got back from a dealer...$1000 under MSRP fully loaded minus the special edition package / side graphics, which i didn't really need...mulling it over now...if you see a fire sale in a few days for parts...you know why...
