New raptor with tailgate damper??
Has anyone seen any info on whether or not you can install the tailgate damper on the raptor just like the regular f150s?
I cant seem to find any info and i have yet to tear apart my raptor that i have had for 28hours..haha mainly because it hasnt stopped raining.
Im guessing the hinge still mounts the same way but not sure if the mount on the other side for the damper exists.

^+1. Tailgates are exactly the same across all aluminum F150s other than the snap in panel on the outside for platinum/limited and Raptor with a applique. 2018 will get a new tailgate but its only a design change, mechanicals and dimensions are the same.

For the other replies - As far as teh tailgate being the same i know that. What im not sure about is if inside behind the tail light, the "****" is there to attach the other side of the shock.

just got a call back from my Dealer and supposedly the shock portion of it is NOT included in the lift assist.
So i would have to buy one aftermarket and install it just like on my last truck...
Not that that is a huge deal as its a simple process but i wanted to see if anyone elses came with the shock that lets the tailgate open slowly instead of free falling.
