towing
hey guys, I am debating about getting a raptor. Just wondering, how is the towing capacities of the truck? I have an open trailer that I use to haul a car.

They're lower then your standard F150 only due to the soft long travel suspension. I think SCabs are 6k and SCrews are 8k.
Make sure you load the trailer correctly, use a Weight Distribution hitch, and you'll be fine. I've towed my open car trailer with various cars on it thousands of miles with my Raptor with zero issues. Great tow pig with PLENTY of power & brakes.
Avg anywhere from 11.5mpg - 12.5mpg doing 70mph.

thanks for the input, I barely pull a trailer with a car, if I do it is only a few times a year. The longest trip I did this year was like 500 miles in a weekend (250 to and from home)

I towed from South Jersey to Myrtle Beach, SC and back for Mustang week two years running. She didn't miss a beat.
Now, she's no SuperDuty and I'm sure a SD will tow better because that is what they're built for. ..but, I never felt unsafe nor did I wish I had chosen a different vehicle.
