Default New (To Me) Truck Purchasing Decisions

Need some advise guys.. Im looking at a 2014 Fx4 SCREW with the ecoboost, with 23,000 miles for $38,000. I was just about to pull the trigger on it (Credit union check is in the mail). I just found a Raptor 6.2 SCREW, with 80K on it for 37,000.. I've been looking hard at raptors over the last year, but kinda gave up my search a while back.. So now I'm stuck... buy the newer truck with less miles, or buy the higher mileage raptor? I'd feel a bit nervous about the 80k and not knowing how hard it was ran, but it IS the truck of my dreams now within my price range. Thoughts?

IMO 37k is a lot to owe on a vehicle starting with 80,000 miles.. Good luck with your decision

I was in a similar position as you. I really wanted a Raptor and most I found with low mileage were $50k+. I did find one for $46k but it had 70k miles. After long consideration I decided to pass on the Raptor and purchased a new '16 F150. I would love to have a Raptor but that was just too much money for the mileage. I really love my truck and will always love the Raptor too but I plan on owning this truck for many years and putting a lot of mileage on it so it made more sense to buy new.

Good luck!

Thanks for the replies. I've decided to go with the '14 fX4. For me, stressing over what may go wrong just isn't worth it in the end for that amount of cash. That FX4 sure is purdy tho. I'll be sure to post some pics of it once I get it a little more customized. (Tinted windows, Bull Bar, Leveling kit, tonneau cover).
