Me on the other hand, I am all for having a more powerful, more capable truck. I couldn't care less that it has a turboed 6 instead of an outdated, heavy, underpowered V8.

Oh, please don't get him started again. 02_Lightning has been throwing a **** fit about the ecoboost. He got a truck that had the evap/condensation issue and hasn't stopped bashing the ecoboost since. Never mind that it is a redesigned engine going in this Raptor, just because it has the ecoboost name, he thinks it will be crap.

I think the blue is the one they're showing now. The original blue they used at launch was said to be some special multi-layer job that wouldn't have been feasible for production, hence why they said it wouldn't be available. The new blue seems to be a close approximation of that.
If it is the same one that is one the fusion, I will be a happy camper!

Just was curious if people still preferred engine size over performance.

I like my v8 raptor... Has an SVC tune and it drives very nice. In just reading the forums, it looks like the ecoboost is fiun to drive but pretty questionable with issues. The question is not if it will fail, but when. I'm glad I don't have to worry about that with mine.

If I had to fathom a guess, I would think starting around $52k and going up to $63-64k MSRP fully loaded (going with SuperCrew, SCab may be a little less). Based on pics I've seen on YouTube and forums it looks like the interior minimum would be the equivalent of a 501A packaged Lariat (around 52k) and fully loaded with 360 camera, pano sunroof, LED headlights, BLIS, plus all of the Raptor off road goodies would put it in the wheel house of a loaded Platinum/KR/Limited which tops out between $63-65k.

Ford Performance has already stated that the true weight savings is only about 300lbs so I don't know where they get 500+. The 700lb number thrown to the public was the weight savings on a stripped down RCSB n/a 6cyl. The 'issue' if you will on the Raptor is that there is no getting around the heavy suspension components, maxed out interior packages and 35" tires. You'll have to special order one to get a stripper, every dealer will max them out because they can get more money for 'em.
I'm looking forward to what the Gen II eco brings but I wonder if the PTWA cylinder liners will support big boost like the iron liners from the Gen I would. Gen I had a spray in friction reducer but Gen II is supposed to get spray in liners vs iron sleeves to reduce weight.
