looking at a used raptor
hello everyone, my question is not on the price because im comfortable dealing with that. but my question on used raptors are if the truck has be chipped or aftermarket tune has there been any drive-train issues (eg like the 5.0L in the mustang certain tunes have burnt a hole in one of the pistons) ? also what if any issues should i be concerned about the yr range im looking at is 2010 - 2012 full loads 6.2L 100-130k KM mileage range. I haven't bought a used truck in quite sometime but my 2009 f150 has 270k KM on the 5.4L with no issues. And are the fox shocks a lifetime shock ? and what is the stock tire size on these trucks ? can a dealer tell me the warranty work done on the truck ?
Thanks SDF

Have the seal on the 3rd brake light replaced.
Don't worry about the factory shocks, you'll be replacing them anyway.
Mine has been tuned for almost 50k miles - no issues. The 6.2 is a solid performer.

WarSurfer's Raptor is what every Raptor owner wants their truck to be when they grow up...just badass all around...he's right about the shocks. You'll replace them quick, my rears are already off and fronts get replaced in two weeks. Only have 3500 miles on her!

No issues with the shocks here as well, had an '11 Supercab Raptor and the only issue with that was the infamous driveshaft "clunk" issue, which was solved with a new driveshaft replaced free under a TSB.
'14 Supercrew is complaint free in all regards, love the 6.2. Stock wheel size is 315/70/17's.

I would be wary of the stock shocks on a used Raptor that has been heavily off-roaded, but if you can trust that its seen mostly road use they should be fine. That being said, they get a nasty looking pitting from the salt on the roads after one winter (cosmetic only).
