Looking for a Raptor allocation @ MSRP

Well, just tried to order one with my closest dealer here in N. NJ. Spoke with the sales manager on the phone and told him I'd be willing to pay a reasonable price and place an order for one to be delivered sometime in the future, and I was in no rush. He asks what 'reasonable' means to me and tells me that they're asking $15k over sticker. I told him I'm not willing to pay over sticker, so he says we have nothing to talk about.
If they're finding suckers to pay $15k over sticker, and the suckers have the money to throw away, God bless them all.

Same experience here. I've talked to 5 dealerships. Told them I would pay MSRP and order a truck with an MSRP of 65k, they all said the lowest they would take is $10,000 above MSRP due to the "limited production" garbage they throw onto everyone. One actually laughed at me on the phone and said "You'll never find a Raptor for MSRP." I understand there are gullible people out there, but do people really believe everything a dealership tells them? I mean, people will actually walk in and drop 80k on an F150, yeah, it's a Raptor and all, but jeeze we are at Corvette Z06 pricing now, lol.
Part of me just says heck with it, and will buy a really nice GEN I Raptor, throw a Supercharger on it, and rock out. The more I talk to dealerships, the more a GEN I is appealing to me. I suspect the GEN I prices to take a decent hit here in a few months once the GEN II's start becoming plentiful on the lots.

I'll probably just wait until Jan when they're on the lot and in the online systems for Consumer Reports / TrueCar / Edmunds / Etc... Then just see which dealership East of the Mississippi is willing to make me the best deal.
Then again, another local dealer has a loaded 2016 Platinum on the lot (701A, FX4, Max Tow, Tow Mirrors, etc...) that I could probably get for around $57k (maybe even less). Add $3k for a 4.5" lift and 35" tires and I'll have all the ground clearance and towing capacity I need. Maybe buy that now and trade in for a Raptor in a year or 2 when the hype has died down.

what you need to do is shop around.. i would never step foot on that dealers lot again that said $15k above MSRP. I got mine for UNDER MSRP. so they are out there. Just need to find a dealership looking to move vehicles. I know that is easier said than done. Just start making calls to every Ford dealership in a 100mile radius and see what happens.

I have found MSRP deals. Hennessy Ford in Atlanta will order you a MSRP Raptor if you place a $5k deposit (I walked from that one). I've found two others, one of which I'm trying to get my order in with right now.
