Default I thought I went to a ford dealer today

Today, I went over to my local ford dealer to look at a '13 f150 fx4 crew and a '13 raptor supercab. Took the fx4 for a drive, had some small talk with the sales guy. Then I asked the sales guy to get the keys to drive the raptor. He comes out a few minutes later saying that his mgr doesn't want to put any miles on it. I think to my self, this only a 51k car, and just laughed to myself. I must have been transported to a Ferrari dealer or something. Some dealers are so out of touch. I guess I need to locate another dealer to do business with. Just another clueless dealer.

That is crazy. I guess they also don't want to sell it.

Reminds me of a few years ago when I was at the Mercedes dealer, who also owned the Nissan dealer next door.

They had a Nissan GTR with like a $79000 sticker I think at that time. It was in the showroom with red velvet ropes around it.

Next door were $209,000 MBs that were parked outside with all the rest of the cars.

Screw the dealer. When I first looked at Raptors they wouldn't give me the time of day. Idk why. Weird.

Similar experience here (although I'm only 24, maybe they expected I wasn't serious). They told me "we only take that out if someone is serious about buying."

Go to currie motors in frankfort. I've had nothing but positive experiences with them.

You went to look, drove one truck, made some small talk - I would have said no too.

I already have an '11 fx4 and had inquired about ordering a raptor during our " small talk". Kinda hard to order something without being able to drive one. Maybe that's how you roll, but thanks for your opinion.

go somewhere else where they will treat you like somebody. Salespeople still judge people by the way they dress.

His loss!!!!
