Take it to a shop for an estimate. If they say "we can buff it out for $$$" then go home and buff it out yourself.

In the words of the great Joe Dirt, "That will buff out". I good orbital buffer with a detailer grade polish will make that all but disappear.

You can alway stop and pick up a FedEx box and drive it up to your local FedEX center, tell them this flew out on the hwy and hit your truck... They may just repair it for you and even add a few FedEx stickers to your back window. HOWEVER, that would be dishonest and the next week you would probably hit a deer...You wouldn't be able to take that into a local business for restitution. haha

In all seriousness I really think you can correct that with a buffer and polish. I've removed deep scratches from tree branches and road debris with just elbow grease and the right polishes.
Good luck and sorry for your cardboard collision.

A little rubbing compound and some elbow grease should do the trick.
