Default Carbon fiber delay

Anyone else hearing this?

Dealer called today and said order is held due to carbon being back ordered.

Any pictures or links to the standard Raptor trim?

I emailed my dealer yesterday and haven't heard anything back I ordered a super crew fully loaded with the carbon fiber. But I will take it off if it's going to delay it a long time. How long is the delay?

I have not heard how long the delay is. I would assume a few months, but that's purely a guess.

Remember the heavy duty payload package fiasco?

I got this from Ford Service today concerning CF delay:

If there are any material holds, this info is proprietary to the plant and not shared with us or customers, Dwight. At this time no retail 2017 F-150s are scheduling to build at all, so Raptors won’t schedule at this time either.

As far as when they will begin building, F-150s should begin production in a month or so. As we go through production, the better info your dealer will have. Check back in a couple of weeks for any available info.

Pics of the trims in this PDF:

Looks like the Accent Package has wood trim inserts(?) while the standard is simple black/grey. I'm not really digging the Carbon Fiber (mostly the shift lever), but to each their own.

Ford Service has nothing about the delay.

Hey D

I checked my resources, and I'm not showing that the Carbon Fiber package is specifically holding back orders. Packages ordered do factor into how orders are scheduled, as well as dealer allotment, timing, etc. Our team has seen a few orders scheduled this week that has the 61c package.

Your dealer will be first in line to get information about this though, so you may want to check in with them.

Another update - seems like it was a blip nothing else - went to submit my order without CF, and dealer saw that Ford accepted the CF order so will be coming after all - Oct build expected
