Hundreds of thousands like to fit their truck in the garage. And most standard garages don't fit long beds comfortably, if at all.

In any case, I'm quite sure that there are thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands of truck buyers out there who would never entertain the idea of getting a truck...any truck....with a tiny, baby bed. I might as well get a Toyota Tacoma. LOL
hundreds of thousands of truck buyers wouldn't entertain a truck with a "tiny baby bed", I agree. Those same hundreds of thousands of truck buyers also wouldn't entertain spending over $60k for a truck that is designed for more play and less work. 5.5 foot beds are the most popular and most desired bed size for half ton trucks, that's a fact. The majority of the market of people looking for a $60k offroad vehicle don't want and don't need a bed bigger than 5.5'

I have a reg cab 2012 with the 6.5 bed, and in ok with it. My raptor on order only comes with a 5.5, will be fine with that also. I will admit I'm not the normal truck user though. If I used the truck bed more then im sure I would think different.
