Anyone well into 100k on their 6.2L?
As somebody with a 2012 Harley-Davidson, I was curious as to the longevity of the 6.2. Anyone hit the 200k mark yet? Experience many problems at a certain mileage?

You will find many over 100k miles. There are many super duty 6.2 trucks with high miles too. No engine issues - just keep oil changed and run with it. It is probably the only good engine from Ford in the last 6 years.

thanks, I was just trying to see if my investment in this truck wouldn't crap out on me around 150k or something. I've only ever had older ford trucks and they all seemed to suffer from one fatal flaw or another. Good to see ford finally made a bulletproof engine other than the powerstroke

Right - this has always been a problem on the 3.5 ecoboost. These you should stay away from. This thread was about 6.2 longevity.... there is no issue with this engine.... best thing that Ford has built in many years!!

A buddy of mine has a 2011 Raptor with 180k and it runs perfect and he changes oil at 5k, in that time it dont use a lick. Oil of choice for him is Mobile 1 and k&n filter, the truck was bought with 145k a year ago and in that time he has thrown some abuse at it and it keeps plugging away.

I don't know what I will replace this with when it's time to part ways. I have test driven the Denali 2500 Duramax and the Ram Cummins and everything in between. But, it's hard to part with Fords 6.2. It's unfortunate that it's no longer available in the half ton trucks. If you follow the maintenance schedule I don't see why you can't achieve 200k trouble free miles. Mine is still super strong.
A super reliable engine. My goal is two more years or approximately another 62k miles.
You can find my post "Six Figure F150" on this forum that discusses my reaching the 100k mile mark.
