End of the Earth
All the test mules running around have those tail pipes, they won't be production.

There is some misleading info here.
Yes - the exhaust locations shown will be exactly like production.
Exhaust pipes themselves - they are flared like you see above so that it quickly hooks to a ventilation system when inside.
I have heard from an engineer at Ford (I work at a supplier) that there are Raptors with *alternative* engines running around on test right now. I bet the negative publicity surrounding current ecoboost f150s has affected their rollout plan for the flagship Raptor. I bet this will be just like back in 2010 when you had the 5.4, but could opt for the 6.2.
Whatever the case, there will be more than one option for engine soon. That will make many people happy I bet.

I will have to keep the ecoboost for awhile, then upgrade to a v8. I would of taken a normal 5.0 right now in the raptor. I not getting the raptor just for the power. I will be more then happy with the ecoboost power in sure.

Rumor on other ford raptor forums were Ford making a 5.0 Ecoboost to get back the V8 customers who fled to other mfgs. And also to have diverse engines in their "ecoboost" branding.
Can you imagine? a twin turbo V8 from factory?
