Default 2017 Remote Start

Does anyone know if they are updating the remote start in the Raptor to work with a phone app, or is this still going to be an add on after the purchase? GM has had this for years, so it's about time Ford got with the program.

It's called SYNC Connect, and it's a free standing option but it's also standard on the 802A package.

I don't see an app for that.

I guess I'll see if this app is any good once I finally get my Raptor. Is the remote start range limited?

Same here. It seems to be done via the internet to a wireless modem in the vehicle - theoretically you should be able to start from anywhere - and be able to set-to-start/stop at a specific time as well.

I've had the FordPass app for a while & added the Raptor VIN when I received it. The app acknowledged it as a 2017 F150, but no other additionall functionality or info. My truck was supposed to built on the 21st of October and today is the first day the FordPass app give me an option to Activate SYNC Connect on my 2017 Ford Raptor - which gives me faith the truck is actually built. In order to complete the activation, you need to be present at the vehicle - but when activated, you can enable lock and unlock, remote start, schedule start, and get vehicle location - all from the app.

Well that sounds pretty promising then! Thanks.
