Ordered mine August 30th, just got my VIN with a build dat in 5 weeks...subject to change

Evidently, Ford isn't in any hurry to get these built and they didn't learn anything from the first go around. My original build week was 10/10, now it's pushed out to 11/14. Not too happy! My first Raptor took 16 weeks. It's been 10 weeks since order and another 7 weeks now before it even starts on line. They might as well call it a 2018.....

What did you order. I heard carbon package was some cause of holds. Did they tell you why?

Do you have the "Carbon Fiber" package in your order? If so, that's probably the cause for rescheduling as Ford is having a supplier problems with that package. My scheduled build date is 10/12/16 and hasn't changed but I did not order the carbon fiber package.

I ordered a loaded Raptor with the 802a package. The only thing I didn't get was the carbon fiber and the beadlock wheels. My priority code is 01, which is as high as it can go. So at this point, I don't know why there was a delay and Ford Service didn't know either. It's lightening blue.

I miss this one, that's why I'm anxious to get a new one!

I am really disappointed how Ford is handling this truck and the delay of builds. Ordered mine back on July 26th. I've still got nothing....no vin, no build date and no one can tell me diddly squat.


I can tell you I am looking hard at a GMC 2500HD Denali.

I hear ya.... I know people that ordered their's a month after me and they already have vin #s and build dates. I ordered a plain jane 800A and for some reason it's not getting scheduled.

My gut tells me this is more about your dealer than it is about Ford.

Maybe, but if my dealer is at fault, it isn't because he meant to. I'm dealing directly with the owner of the dealership and he is a good friend of mine. Maybe my order priority is jacked up...I don't know. But I doubt he would have clicked something that caused my truck to go to the bottom of the list.

Maybe Ford doesn't think he's a priority, as he is located in a small town in Oklahoma.....I don't know....but I doubt it. He sells a TON of Ford Trucks and has been for the past 20+ years. He did tell me the day I ordered that (at least at that time) was being allocated 4 Raptors "this" year.

Guess I'll ping Ford Service to see if they can tell me what my "order priority" is!!
