Well , I went in today and papered one up on the computer to put in the que list for ordering. Someone had already beat me to doing this, sounds like an employee.
There was no discussion of mark-ups when I brought it up, but that will have to be in writing at time of order submittal. They are hoping to be able to submit the order in August (they will have an update from Ford then). Sitting large at just under 70K with most all goodies. I at least have a spot to make one happen the way I want if it all works out.

I went and spoke with my Ford dealer last Friday. There was so much back and forth on these boards about what you could and could not do that I wanted his take. He was honestly uncertain how Ford was going to allocate the Raptors so we met with one of the General Managers.
This gentleman told me that Ford would start allocating Raptors to each dealership on a limited basis. At this particular dealership in Texas there were around (50) people on the waiting list for a 2017 Ford Raptor (including myself). When they got their first allocation they would then work their way through the aforementioned list and build from there. They did not know when the allocations would begin partly because of the "late" designation on the 802A.
After this the gentleman I normally work with took me back to his office and allowed me to build the 2017 Raptor I wanted. The truck came to around $ 64,500. He said he could submit this, but it would not be built until my name came up on their list so I should just wait until then in case I change my mind on the configuration.
I alluded that if it was going to take a ridiculously long time before I could purchase a 2017 Raptor then I should just go with my second choice, a King Ranch F150. My Ford dealer said he could have that built in around 8-weeks, but said that I probably would not be happy with it in the long run since I really wanted a 2017 Raptor. He is probably right.

Just read an article from Autoweek stating most of what is being discussed. Their base pricing was a little higher than what was published 7/18. I'm guessing it is the pre-ordering queue they discussed when saying : "Weirdly enough, you can order one from your Ford dealer now, even without knowing most of the specs."
They expect HP to be north of 450...

There appears to be a lot of speculation about what, when, etc. I would imagine from a production point of view they would need to schedule certain features one at a time. I remember a year ago they said SCab would be first production and SCrew would come out later. I have no idea if this is still true. Seems even the dealers are only speculating since there has been no official announcements from Ford Corporate.
Every dealer as a different take from what I have seen so far. The mystery is also a good marketing ploy. Curiosity will mount and get people talking. Marketing ploys can backfire, especially if they are transparent attempts to take advantage of people. Hopefully Ford will get some relevant info out soon.
