I would take a raptor with the plain 5.0. Im not really digging this one engine choice, maybe that will change

I'm happy it's a ecoboost. Would be badass for a TT 5.0 though

I bet it's going to have similarities to the Ford GT motor. Over 500hp. Just my prediction.

Dont know if this has been said or not, but those wheels on the Ram look a lot like the Raptor wheels just saying

Default Ecoboost!!!!!

So glad they are doing this! I am a long time drag racer and still race a turbocharged X275 mustang (1300 HP or so). Turbos are the way to go. Huge HP and TQ, decent fuel economy....what more could you want? There is so much potential in these engines...people are usually affraid of what they don't know or understand. Educate yourselves, and you will love that little 3.5L!

For those suggesting a 5.0L ecoboost....while I would enjoy that as well...the components necessary to support the potential power and torque would drive the price thru the roof...resulting in even lower sales numbers for an already limited market.

Right? I mean i love the sound of a v8 but the ecobeast could probably do more that a v8. I wanna see a new lightning now

V6 is bad juju; Google the history of V6 at Indianapolis. Buick/GM spend millions and couldn't finish the race
I4 or V8 never V6
