2017 Ford Raptor, new H.O. 3.5L Ecoboost Engine

What? ..... Sorry but commando is my preference if your trying to understand the Id or ego of a Raptor buyer. I don't understand where you go with that but I suggest maybe a new thread. ....Vanity.. really?

maybe the vanity correlation doesn't apply to you, which is precisely why i used the the phrase "MAJORITY of [Raptor] consumers" rather than "ALL Raptor consumers," again, sorry if you missed it. for all we know you will be bottoming the suspension out on your Raptor daily on high speed desert runs and using the Raptor as the tool it was designed for. call it far fetched, but I think that would make you the exception, not the rule. for those in the opposite camp, vanity would be a catalyst of their purchase. if thats the case then deductive reason would lead you to believe the comment didnt apply to you. good day.

you as well. and for the record, i am strongly considering trading my 2016 Platinum for a 2017 Raptor. I fall into the vanity group. I have zero illusions that I will use it for anything more than a pavement pounder....to which it gives me zero advantage and a likely disadvantage over the capabilities of my current truck....but it sure looks cool and could do awesome stuff, haha!

Aint gonna happen with the CAFE standards. The future is smaller boosted engines. Give it 15 years, a base engine will be a hybrid-assist 1.2L and high output large engine will be a turbo 2.0. /sarc
